Since Guanshan Tzu Chi Hospital inaugurated and worked on service of medicine missions, inspired by Master Cheng Yen, many professional doctors, nurses and volunteer with life-respect faith, practice patient-oriented acute medicine and community care in the east of Taiwan. The achievement of patient obtaining proper care is approved and appraised by the public.
Medical members and resources are centralized in metropolis. In remote areas, people have to make a long trip to see a doctor. Thus, Guanshan Tzu Chi Hospital was founded for those remote residents. It succeeds to the building of unready Poh-Ai Hospital and combines with doctors with various specialties, nurses, rehabilitation therapists and volunteers from Hualien Tzu Chi General Hospital, who support to provide complete medical service for Taitung residents.
The Guanshan Tzu Chi General Hospital serves local people and practice Tzu Chi spirits-- “Humanity-medicine and Life-respect”. The medical resource of Hualien and Taitung is integrated to save more lives. |
